Position Mission:
Operate various stamping presses, utilizing attribute fixtures, written instructions, and samples to produce conforming products. Assist other operators with daily tasks and provide support in resolving operational issues as they arise.
Compensation: $16.00 – $24.00/ hr.
$1.50/hour shift differential for second and third shifts.
Revision Level: R1 (3.26.2025)
Essential Roles and Responsibilities Overview:
- Rotate through various stamping assignments to ensure efficient production.
- Assist with the setting up of stamping presses as needed.
- Read and interpret work instructions, processes, and sample products to ensure production of conforming products.
- Use precision measuring tools or attribute gauges as outlined in the product quality check sheet documentation.
- Inspect parts and record data on check sheets for the first, middle, and last piece, ensuring consistent quality throughout the run by regularly checking parts to confirm they meet customer specifications.
- Document actions by completing work orders, production logs, quality check sheets, shipping tags, and other necessary records.
- Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as required.
- Perform continuous inspections, comparing products to approved samples to ensure customer specifications are met and ISO/TS standards are maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong physical dexterity, basic math skills, and ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Prior stamping experience preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools, such as tape measures, Vernier calipers, thread gauges, and torque wrenches, as needed.
