Position Mission:
Loads and unloads paint lines, assembles products according to production specifications, and packs items by established standards, ensuring compliance with daily production goals and quality requirements.
Compensation: $15.25 – $19.00/ hr.
$1.50/hour shift differential for second and third shifts.
Revision Level: R1 (3.26.2025)
Essential Roles and Responsibilities Overview:
Unloading
- Rotate through various medical assembly tasks, such as attaching slides to cabinet drawers, while following work instructions, processes, and procedures to position parts and subassemblies correctly.
- Document actions by completing work orders, production logs, quality check sheets, shipping tags, and other required documentation.
- Set up and load racks and hangers according to production requirements, following work instructions when available.
- Verify that all parts are present by reviewing item tags or work orders.
Loading
- Ensure hooks are frequently burned and cleaned to maintain production efficiency.
- Verify that all threaded holes are properly plugged before processing.
- Confirm that all rework items are adequately sanded and wiped down before being rehung.
- Check that all required parts are present by reviewing item tags or work orders.
- Air dry parts coming out of the wash as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by performing daily 5S housekeeping duties, including sorting, organizing, cleaning, and conducting safety inspections to prevent hazards.
- Conduct ongoing inspections by comparing products against approved samples and reference materials to ensure compliance with customer specifications and adherence to ISO/TS standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic math ability for giving accurate counts on parts; Ability to lift to 30 pounds on a frequent basis, occasional lift up to 50 pounds including overhead lifting. Anything over 50 pounds is considered a team lift operation.
- Frequently walks, bends, twists, turns, and lifts while performing functions of position.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; work well as a team member.
- Good communication skills.
- Prior assembly experience is helpful.
