Position: MIG Welder
Reports to: Departmental Supervisor

Position Mission: Ensure the precise assembly of products by utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly fixtures in accordance with written instructions or
approved prints. Support team efficiency by assisting fellow welders with daily tasks and
troubleshooting operational challenges as they arise.
Compensation: $21.00 to $32.00/ hr. (Includes Level I, II, III)
(Experience and qualifications at Weld Test and Interview Level II or III may qualify at a higher start wage range.)
$1.50/hour shift differential for second and third shifts.
Revision Level: R1 (3.26.2025)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts according to prints, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld prints, work instructions, or sample pieces to properly position parts within subassemblies.
- Inspect welded connections for correct fit and size, making necessary modifications and ensuring products are free of spatter or defects that could impact customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and communicating needs to Departmental Leads or Supervisors.
- Accurately document work by completing work orders, production logs, quality check sheets, shipping tags, and other necessary records.
- Support team success by contributing to shared goals and assisting with related tasks as needed.
- Conduct ongoing inspections, comparing products against approved samples or prints to ensure compliance with customer specifications and ISO/TS standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience required (MIG, TIG, or brazing preferred).
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Physical dexterity and basic math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in using basic measurement tools, including tape measures, Vernier calipers, thread gauges, weld gauges, and torque wrenches as required.

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that more than 75 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
