Position: Lead Press Operator

Position Mission: The Lead Press Operator is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of press operators to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of press machines. This role includes setting up, adjusting, and maintaining press equipment, as well as ensuring that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Compensation: Current pay rate, plus $1.50 lead pay

Primary Responsibilities:
- Guide press operators to ensure safe and efficient machine operations.
- Set up and adjust press machines for specific production runs.
- Monitor production quality and ensure products meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot press equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide training and mentorship to new or less experienced press operators.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings and downtime.
- Continuously assess and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.
- Assist in meeting production goals and deadlines, optimizing team performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Physical dexterity and basic math skills.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Prior experience as a press operator required.
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, thread gauges, height gauges, protractors, and torque wrenches.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
