Position: Regional Sales Manager (Full Time)

Position Mission: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales and experience in a metal (or millwork) manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for implementing a strategic sales plan that expands our current customer base.
Compensation: Salaried, Overtime Exempt, Competitive Salary

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Overview:
- Deliver superior overall support, technical/mechanical expertise, and product knowledge beginning with the pre-sale through the post-sale to the customers including engineers, contractors, end-users as well as internal employees of SIS and distribution companies when needed
- Responsible for implementing a strategic sales plan that expands current customer base
- Develops and executes a regional sales plan to help meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
- Manages and retains relationships with existing clients, reps, dealers, and consultants
- Re-establish past dealer-based accounts in specific MAFSI territories
- Work closely and provide support for specified Rep Groups to increase opportunities
- Develop, implement and drive sales strategy for the assigned region
- Work with sales team to fill areas where Reps are needed and replace those Reps that are underperforming
- Participate in the planning and execution of company goals including forecasting quarterly and annual sales
- Driving sales, building relationships with customers, and providing expert advice on food service equipment across the designated territory within the assigned territory reps region working with engineers, contractors/installers, and end-users
- Attends industry conferences and regional trade shows to develop industry expertise and customer pipelines
- Provide input for price listing and brochure development
- Manage assigned sales staff; assign sales quotas based on territory objectives; evaluate employee performance; manage employee development and corrective action programs as may be required; recruit and train new sales staff
- Proven capacity to quickly grasp and retain comprehensive product knowledge, coupled with a distinct talent for articulating intricate technical concepts surrounding the products
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts including RFQs for new opportunities and bids working directly with engineering, contractors, and end-users
- Identify and establish new business opportunities
- Highly proficient computer skills
- Develop strong relationships with customers (distributors, contractors, and owners) to understand what these customers value and to find ways to meet their needs to profitably win their business
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of our products and value proposition
- Monitor and make recommendations concerning market needs, changes in competitive policies and strategies, channels of distribution, advertising and promotion, pricing and sales activity
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments through contacts, social media, news, events, etc.

Requirements / Qualifications Overview:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Proven track record – obtaining sales goals, developing and managing people, building and maintaining high-level customer relationships
- Travel required: 50% of the time
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong desire for success
- Desire and professionalism to work and operate independently and manage multiple reps
- Excellent organizational skills and highly proficient computer skills
- High energy and experience in coaching and motivating a team
- Proven ability to negotiate with customers
