Benda Conveyer Solutions – Technical Sales Engineer

Position Overview:

Benda Conveyor Solutions is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive business growth by leveraging both technical expertise and sales acumen. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong understanding of conveyor systems and automation who enjoys working with customers to develop viable, high-performing solutions. The Technical Sales Engineer will assess project feasibility, collaborate with the engineering team, and ensure that proposed solutions align with our design capabilities. 

Key Responsibilities

Technical Consultation & Project Feasibility

  • Work directly with customers to understand project requirements and assess application feasibility. 
  • Evaluate system design constraints and ensure proposed solutions align with our engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to refine concepts and provide accurate project proposals .
  • Utilize AutoCAD to generate preliminary layouts and system designs .

Sales & Business Development

  • Serve as a technical consultant during the sales process, ensuring customer needs are met with realistic, cost-effective solutions .
  • Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and expand project opportunities.
  • Actively seek and acquire new business opportunities in target industries through technical outreach and strategic prospecting.

Account & Project Management

  • Provide clear technical documentation and maintain meticulous records in CRM software.
  • Keep clients informed about project progress, design modifications, and delivery schedules .
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and installation teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Alternative: Strong hands-on experience in technical sales, application engineering, or automation solutions in lieu of formal degree .
  • Required:
    – Experience in conveyor systems, automation, or industrial equipment sales. 
    – Strong problem solving skills with the ability to assess design feasibility. 
    – Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both engineers and non-technical customers. 
    – Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
    – Experience with AutoCAD drafting software. 
    – Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and prospects 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000, based on qualifications & experience .
